Foster + Partners has announced the of the 310m high Varso Tower, an integral portion of HB Reavis’ Varso Place in Warsaw, Poland.
This tower is claimed to be the tallest in the European Union.
Varso Tower is located at the corner of Jana Pawla II and Chmielna Street and features the public plaza on its western end that joins the adjacent buildings.
At the centre of the project is a plaza, which is surrounded by a glazed screen animated with trees and benches.
This ‘urban room’ becomes the point of connection between office workers, who may use it as a sit-out during breaks, and the public.
Two banks of double-deck lifts serve the offices.
