Nordic community builder has secured contracts for two separate projects in Sweden and Norway.
Peab has received a Skr239m ($23.25m) turnkey contract to construct a new primary and middle school in Staffanstorp, Sweden, for Staffanstorps kommunfastigheter.
The new facilities will be situated in the south-western part of Staffanstorp, on the site of the existing Stanstorp School.
The project encompasses a total area of approximately 8,200m² across two floors.
Once the new school is completed, the old building will be demolished, and a new schoolyard will be created.
Construction will adhere to Miljöbyggnad Silver standards.

By GlobalDataPeab region manager Olle Olsson said: “This is an important investment in the future for the residents of Staffanstorp and we are proud to be able to contribute with our expertise.
“Building a school is a very important project for us as community builders.”
The contract, set to commence this month, is expected to be completed by the late-year term of 2026, with the schoolyard finished by early 2027.
The project will be order registered in the third quarter (Q3) of 2024.
Additionally, Peab has been tasked with the Søråsen stage four water and wastewater project in Bærum, Norway.
Commissioned by Bærum Municipality, this Nkr127m contract involves separating rainwater and wastewater, as well as rehabilitating municipal pipelines with new markings, stops, and installations.
This work builds upon the previous three stages of the project.
Peab subsidiary AOL master designer Erik Hedvald Nilsen said: “We thank Bærum Municipality for entrusting us with the project and look forward to working well together. We have the right expertise, geography and capacity for this kind of project.
“Together we’ll strive for low climate impact in the project and at the same time work efficiently, safely and with good quality,”.
Also scheduled to begin this month and be completed by October 2027, this general contract will be registered in Q3 2024.
These new contracts follow Peab’s recent contract for renovating 146 apartments in Tromsø, Norway, by Rundvannet Borettslag, earlier this month.
